POKHARA: Police arrested a 24-year-old man on charge of raping a minor girl in Kaski on Monday.

Accused Narayan Shah, a permanent resident of Salang of Dhading, told the victim, who apparently was going to her maternal uncle's home, that he would help her reach her destination.

He, however, took her to a lodge in Prithvi Chok of Pokhara and assaulted her sexually.

According to DSP Govinda Adhikari, the accused has been remanded in judicial custody for investigation.
