Girl who lost consciousness in 2015 earthquake rescued

KATHMANDU: A six-year-old girl, who was confined in her house since losing consciousness during the massive earthquake two years ago, has been admitted to a rehabilitation centre.

According to the Rastriya Samachar Samiti, UNICEF took the initiative and rescued Bandana Kumal from her house located at the then Salyantar VDC–7 in Dhading district.

In coordination with the District Child Welfare Board and the UNICEF, the Dhading-based Integrated Community Development Society (ICDS) rescued the girl and admitted her to the rehab centre, informed ICDS Project Coordinator Tirupati Pariyar.

Kumal has been sent to the Koshish National Mental Health Self Help Organisation, in Bagdole of Lalitpur district
