ML-4.6 aftershock recorded in Dolakha again

KATHMANDU: The National Seismological Centre said it recorded an aftershock of local magnitude 4.6 in Dolakha district on Tuesday afternoon.

It was an aftershock of the magnitude-7.6 earthquake which had rattled the nation with its epicentre in Barpak of Gorkha on April 25, 2015.

The epicentre of the aftershock today (27.67ºN and 85.95ºE) lies between Lankuridanda and Phusapheda of the district.

Just four days ago, on October 7, an aftershock measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale was recorded in the district.

The NSC has so far alerted members of the public about around 470 significant aftershocks since the devastating quake.
