NAWALPARASI: A model birthing centre has been brought into operation at Sunawal Municipality of west Nawalparasi.

The birthing centre with better facilities was brought into operation with the financial support of Sunawal Municipality.

Spokesperson of Province 5 government and Minister for Physical Infrastructure Development, Baijanath Chaudhary, inaugurated the birthing centre on Wednesday stating that the province government was moving ahead with the target to provide easy and systematic health care services to all.

Likewise, mayor of the municipality Bhim Bahadur Thapa Chhetri said, services have commenced at the birthing centre with an objective to providing delivery services to the women belonging to rural areas of the municipality.

Likewise, ambulance service has been provided free of cost to pregnant women for visiting the birthing centre to deliver their babies.
