LAMJUNG: A man working for a local hydropower project has gone missing in the Dardi River in Lamjung district on Monday morning.

The man has been identified as Rohit Rai (52) of Pathari, Morang district.

Rai slipped and fell into the river while crossing it, according to his friend Sher Bahadur Limbu, who is said to be an eyewitness of the incident.

Police said the search operation was affected due to muddy water and rising water level.

Three persons, including Limbu, have been detained for interrogation.

It has been learned that the four persons were heading to a nearby market for shopping when the incident took place.
