KATHMANDU: A person died on the spot after the motorcycle he was riding on collided with a passenger bus in Bagmati Municipality-1 of Sarlahi district on Wednesday night.

The deceased has been identified as Dilip Kumar Sah (43) of Jeetpur in Simara Sub-Metropolitan City-3 of Bara district.

The incident occurred after the passenger bus (Na 5 Kha 1006) heading for Kathmandu from Dharan collided head-on with the motorcycle at around 10 pm yesterday, according to the District Police Office, Sarlahi.

The bike was on a test-drive, said police.

Meanwhile, police have impounded the bus and detained its driver for further investigation.
