DAMAULI: A multi-purpose building has been constructed in Byas Municipality, Tanahun.

The three-storey earthquake-resistant building was built at a cost of around 100 million rupees.

“While 90 per cent of the cost was arranged from a loan, 7.5 per cent was contributed from the government grant and the remaining amount was managed from the internal fund of the municipality,” said Mayor Baikuntha Neupane. While the basement will be used for parking, the ground and the first floor will be rented out to various businesses, the municipality office will be housed on the uppermost floor.
