Ramechhap police today made public Kumar Ghising alias Chyanga, who was held for his involvement in the murder of Babu Ram Tamang of Doramba Rural Municipality in Ramechhap on Tuesday.

Security personnel made Ghising public at a press meet at District Police Office today. A total of nine persons, including Ghising, were held after Babu Ram Tamang, 47, was found dead under mysterious circumstances the same day.

As per the police, murder accused Ghising confessed his crime. He said he had hidden the body under the stones on the banks of Lapsikhola after killing him. DSP Kumod Dhungel said Ghising had been remanded to judicial custody today itself.

“As Tamang used to call me a son of a criminal, I murdered him in a fit of rage,” DSP Dhungel quoted Ghising as saying during interrogation.

Security personnel also made public the sharp weapon and stone used in the murder of Tamang.
