Myagdi district hospital expands its services

The District Hospital, Myagdi, has extended many services including surgery and others, giving a great sigh of relief to the folks in the district.

As the district hospital expanded its services, the people from Myagdi are not needed to leave for the capital city, Pokhara, Chitwan and other cities for the treatment of the minor diseases.

Dhiren Kumar Malla, a doctor in the hospital, said that the new services started from the beginning of this fiscal year include delivery service, surgery of orthopaedic, hydrocele, appendicitis and other others.

He shared that surgery of 41 patients of different cases received the surgery service in the first month of the current fiscal while the number increased to 44 so far.

The hospital with the capacity of 15 beds is running the services equal to 25-bed hospital. Currently, eight doctors including three specialists are offering services in the district hospital.
