NCP (NCP) receives party registration certificate

KATHMANDU: The Election Commission has issued a party registration certificate to the Nepal Communist Party (NCP) on Thursday.

Chief Election Commissioner Ayodhee Prasad Yadav presented the certificate to party General Secretary Bishnu Poudel. Other senior leaders of the party including Subas Nembang and Dev Gurung were also present.

The process of registration of NCP (NCP) had begun following the unification announcement of the then CPN-UML and CPN Maoist Centre, on May 17.

Meanwhile, NCP (NCP) leader Subas Nembang said that the 33 per cent women participation in party's central committee would be ensured after general convention. "We are committed for fair participation of women in the central committee. We are all waiting for the General Convention, which will guarantee 33 percent women's representation," said Nembang.
