NCP (NCP) turfs out sacked Min Sodari

DHANGADI: Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has expelled Dirgha Sodari from the party following his sacking from the post of social development minister of Sudurpaschim Province.

Sodari has been stripped of his general membership of the party a day after he was sacked by the Chief Minister Trilochan Bhatta for going against the moral obligations of his post.

A meeting of the NCP (NCP) province committee informed of Sodari’s expulsion from the party.

Sodari, who was Kailali district chair of the party had won the provincial assembly elections from fourth constituency and had become the state minister for social development.

Following Sodari’s sacking, the provincial government has already assigned his duties to Lawmaker Krishna Raj Subedi who won a seat in the assembly from the same constituency as Sodari.

However, Sodari has not been stripped of his post as a provincial assembly lawmaker.

Despite, the committees' notice on the situation, Sodari has denied to acknowledge any information related to his expulsion from the party. Moreover, Sodari said that he has not yet been told the reasons for his sacking too.

However, NCP (NCP) Sudurpaschim Committee Chair Karna Thapa told THT that Sodari has been given the elbow by the party for going against his moral obligations while he was a minister.

Moreover, Thapa said that the recent accident was not the only reason for sacking Sodari without disclosing other reasons.
