Nepal Army provides cost-free meal to Saptari flood victims

RAJBIRAJ: The Nepal Army (NA) on Thursday provided free meals to the flood-stricken at Deuri Bharuwa of Rajbiraj Municipality– 15 in Saptari district.

Around one thousand villagers struck by flooding in the Khado River received sets of rice, dal and vegetables as part of the meal programme organised with support from the District Red Cross Society, Saptari.

The NA's Krishnadal Battalion provided the meal to the victims of flood in the area and also ran cost-free health camp.

NA's Krishnadal Battalion's Major Surendra Dev Bogati said 410 locals were treated at the health camp. At the camp set up with support of the District Public Health Office (DPHO), a team of six doctors were involved in the health check-up while medicines were distributed for free.
