Nepal-India border security meeting concludes

BIRATNAGAR: The Nepal-India border security meeting concluded in Araria of India.

The meeting focused on minimisation of problems related to peace and security, combating criminal activities, and issues related to the transport sector.

It was also agreed at the meeting to take measures to minimise pressure of containers at Jogbani -- the market area on the Indian side, to control the cross-border crimes, among others, according to Morang Chief District Officer (CDO) Ramesh KC.

The meeting held on Monday was attended by CDO KC, Superintendent of Police Manoj KC, and Chief at Biratnagar Customs Office Nimans Adhikari from Nepal side, while Araria's GM Himanshu Sharma, police chief, border security police chief, and the customs chief represented the Indian side.
