Nepal, Qatar sign MoU in two separate issues

DOHA: Nepal and Qatar have signed two separate Memorandum of Understandings (MoUs) on Tuesday.

MoUs were signed on the second day of President Bidya Devi Bhandari's ongoing official visit to the State of Qatar.

Nepal and Qatar have signed an understanding to facilitate the visits of diplomatic, governmental and special passport bearers without a visa.

Minister for Foreign Affairs Pradeep Kumar Gyawali and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al-Thani signed the MoU in this regard.

Likewise, an agreement was also signed on the exchange of bilateral cooperation on agriculture and food security. Minister Gyawali and Qatar's Minister for Municipality and Environment Mohammed Bin Abdullah Al Rumaihi signed the agreement on behalf of their respective governments.

On the occasion, Minister Gyawali said that such agreements would help further strengthen the relations, cooperation between the two countries.
