Nepal receives 'Country of the Year Award' for mountaineering adventures

KATHMANDU: Nepal has received the Country of the Year Award, 2019 for being recognised as Asia’s Best Nation For Mountaineering Adventures at the Top Asia Corporate Ball organised by Research House of Asia (RHA) Media, in Malaysia.

The rank was confirmed amongst five shortlisted Asian countries in the category by carrying out various research surveys, according to a press release issued by the Embassy of Nepal, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

The award was handed by YB Tuan Muhammad Bakhtar bin Wan Chik, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia and received by Uday

Raj Panday, Ambassador of Nepal to Malaysia, amidst a special ceremony at Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur, on November 22, 2019.

Present at the occasion were ministers, members of the royal family, CEOs of reputed companies, business owners, among others.
