Nepal will be mid-level developed country in ten years, says CM Gurung

Pokhara, October 15

Gandaki Province Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung has claimed that Nepal will become a mid-level developed country in the next 10 years.

“Nepal has become second in terms of economic growth rate in the entire South Asia this time, which is great news. We all have to help the government to make its vision of Prosperous Nepal and Happy Nepali a reality,” said the CM, speaking at a Tihar and Chhath greetings-exchange programme organised by Pokhara Chamber of Commerce of Kaski in Pokhara today.

Gurung also said his government was doing all it could to help the federal government achieve its targets. “The Gandaki Province government is doing all it can to help reduce the trade deficit of the country and boost the per capita income,” he said.

On a different note, the chief minister lamented lack of discipline in the country. “Even if the prime minister is talking good about the country, people tease him, which is not good,” he said, also underscoring the need to consolidate national unity and for all people to fulfil their obligations towards the country as citizens.
