NC lost in polls due to left alliance, leader Karki says

ITAHARI: Nepali Congress (NC) central committee member and former finance minister Gyanendra Bahadur Karki cited the unity of left parties as the main cause of NC's defeat in the province assemblies and federal polls.

At a programme organised by NC in Dharan, leader Karki said the elections result were not in favour of the NC due to a united communist force and the divided NC.

He was of the view that the NC would focus on democracy and implementation of the constitution adding that it was necessary to move ahead in a new and scientific way by correcting the past mistakes.

Leader Karki also urged the party leaders and cadres not to feel inferiority complex due to party's elections result.
