Nepali Congress, Maoist Centre and Madhesi Front decide to intensify talks

KATHMANDU: Leaders of the ruling Nepali Congress as well as CPN Maoist Centre and the United Democratic Madhesi Front on Tuesday agreed to intensify talks in a bid to forge an agreement and resolve the current political imbroglio.

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal had called the meeting at his official residence in Baluwatar this evening to discuss issues related to the local elections, Constitution amendment and Local Body Restructuring Commission's report.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Dahal had asked the parties to share their opinion the matter of local elections, according to a statement issued by the PM's Secretariat.
