NC need not worry about govt deviating, says Banskota

Kavre, July 2

Minister of Communications and Information Technology Gokul Banskota today urged the principal opposition Nepali Congress not to worry about the government being derailed from the right direction.

Speaking at the second general assembly of District Coordination Committee Kavre in Dhulikhel, Minister Banskota said, “We may not be able to pluck down stars from the sky but we speak whatever is inevitable and do accordingly. We execute our promises sincerely.”

He said the NC could be an integral part of the government to attain the goal of prosperous Nepal.

“Abundant biodiversity, human community and water resources of the Mahabharat range are not only important for our generation but they are also equally important for our upcoming generation. If you make a concrete and feasible plan to develop trekking trails along the Mahabharat Range, the government is ready to support by funding you,” said Banskota.

He further urged people to launch various mitigating measures to counter the adverse consequences triggered by natural and biodiversity exploitation, including deforestation and protection for the upcoming generation. Minister Banskota said water and mines couldn’t go hand-in-hand.

Earlier, Minister Banskota had underscored the contribution of youths to the country’s development and prosperity at a function in Banepa.
