NC not interested to remain in power: Singh

KATHMANDU: Nepali Congress (NC) leader Prakash Man Singh has remarked that the Nepali Congress (NC) is no longer interested to remain in power.

Moreover, Singh has urged the leaders of left alliance not to make unnecessary comments on ordinance on formation of the National Assembly.

Singh, newly-elected Member of Parliament from Kathmandu-1, said that the government would forward its steps on election of members of National Assembly as per the provision mentioned in the Constitution of Nepal.

"The NC is not interested to remain in power any longer. We will quit the government once all issues are settled," Singh said, "We will remain as a responsible opposition from province to federal level"

The ordinance on formation of National Assembly is pending at the Office of the President due to a strife between parties over the electoral system.
