No Indian hand in Nepal govt change: Ambassador Rae

CHITWAN: Indian Ambassador to Nepal, Ranjit Rae, said on Tuesday that India did not have a hand in building or bringing down the government in Nepal.

While briefly speaking to the media in Bharatpur of Chitwan this afternoon, the Indian diplomat, however, expressed his reluctance to further comment on political matter.

The Indian Ambassador said the Government of India wanted to work together with Nepal in development projects by improving bilateral ties between the two countries.

Top Indian officials including Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi would visit Nepal after Nepali Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal's India visit, according to him.

Pointing out the need for promotion of religious tourism in Nepal, Rae informed that homework is being done for direct air connection between major Indian and Nepali cities.

Boarding flight from Kathmandu, Rae had landed at the Bharatpur Airport while heading to Manahari of Makawanpur.
