GULARIYA: The number of protected blackbucks (Antilope cervicapra) has decreased to 262 from 300 in Krishnasar Conservation Area in Bardiya district.

Chief of Krishnasar Conservation Area Narayan Rupakheti said that the floods in Babai River claimed lives of 40 blackbucks last year.

Meanwhile, two animals were added into their protection recently.
