Oli-led government will fall very soon, says Singh

Lamjung, April 24

Nepali Congress central member Prakash Man Singh today said the present KP Sharma Oli-led coalition government would fall very soon.

Speaking at a press meet organised by Nepal Press Union in Beshishahar of Lamjung on Sunday, Singh argued that the incumbent government would fall as it had failed to implement the constitution, distribute relief to the earthquake victims and expedite reconstruction works.

“However, Nepali Congress is in no haste to form or lead a new government,” he claimed.

He accused the government of failing to address the plight of the earthquake victims although a year had passed since the devastating earthquakes.

“A large number of earthquake victims have yet to get relief, while the pace of reconstruction works has been very sluggish,” he said.

“The donations received from foreign countries remain unspent in the banks, while hundreds of thousands of earthquake victims are without shelters,” he said.
