URLABARI: A person died and another was injured after the motorcycle they were travelling on lost control and fell on the road in Urlabari Municipality-6 along the Urlabari-Madhumalla road section of Morang district on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as pillion rider Amit Dhimal (25) of Urlabari and injured as motorcyclist Boris Dhimal (30).

According to police, the duo were travelling on the motorcyle (Ko 19 Pa 4475) when the incident occurred, critically injuring them, informed police.

Injured Amit breathed his last during the course of treatment at Urlabari-based Araniko Hospital, informed Inspector Ram Prasad Timilsina, at Urlabari Area Police Office.

Meanwhile, Boris is said to be in critical condition and has been undergoing treatment at Biratnagar-based Nobel Hospital.

Further investigation into the case is underway, police said.
