CHITWAN: The Chitwan National Park has launched 'One Minute for Conservation Campaign' for drivers and passengers commuting along the East-West Highway.

Chief Protection Officer of the Park, Ram Chandra Kandel, inaugurated the campaign by informing about the drive to the drivers and passengers at Gondrang in Bharatpur in the district on Sunday.

He further said the campaign was aimed for wildlife conservation and garbage management in the district.

Kandel urged the drivers not to park their vehicles, control speed limits, not to throw garbage and not to act in any way to disturb the arrival of wild animals along the Gondra of Bharatpur and Tikauli of Ratnanagar along the East-West Highway.

He also informed that the Nepal's oldest national park has also installed sophisticated high-tech 10 CCTV cameras to monitor activities in the area.

He said anyone breaching the park's directives would be booked for public offence.
