KATHMANDU/SINDHULI: One-way vehicular movement resumed along the BP Highway through an alternative route after 19 hours of obstruction, the Rastriya Samachar Samiti reported.

Hundreds of vehicles were stranded after a road-section caved in at Benighat Khalte region of Sheetalpati VDC in Sindhuli district last night.

The vehicles that were stuck on both the sides of the site left for their destinations after the alternative route was prepared for one-way traffic, according to the report.

But traffic movement was stopped in the evening due to safety concerns.

The highway would reopen at 6 tomorrow morning and close in the evening, the RSS reported, quoting a police official.
