Parsa Muslim community urges to shift election date

PARSA: The Muslim community in Parsa has urged the government to shift the date of the second phase of local level elections.

The National Muslim Struggle Alliance, Parsa, submitted a memo to the Prime Minister through the District Administration Office to make the request. Stating that the month-long Ramadan fasting begins on May 27, President of the Alliance Abdulkhair Ansari said it would be difficult for the community to attend the election activities. Hence the date should be shifted.

Likewise, the Alliance has also urged the Office of the Controller of Examinations, Sano Thimi, to shift the date of examinations for Grade 11, which falls on Id-ul-fitr, a festival of the Muslim community. The Muslim Civil Society, Parsa, too submitted a memo calling for a new date for the election and the Grade 11 examinations.
