KATHMANDU: Chief Election Commissioner Dr Ayodhee Prasad Yadav has urged all political parties to participate with enthusiasm  while filing nominations scheduled for Tuesday for upcoming May 14 local polls.

In a press meet organised by the Commission in Capital on Monday, Dr Yadav said there will be no change in election schedule and after nomination all rumours regarding the election would be cleared.

He further urged the candidates to follow the election code of conduct as it will be enforced soon after the nomination.

Dr Yadav further shared that he has directed all security forces to make reliable security in view of election. He also urged the media to create environment conducive to maintaining the impartiality as media's role will be important to create awareness among the people.

Nominations can be filed from 10:00 am to 5:00 tomorrow.
