RATNANAGAR: Industrialists and businesspersons in Chitwan have appealed to the government and the stakeholders to create atmosphere conductive to industry and business.

A peace rally was also taken out this morning in Narayagarh calling for alternative to the forms of protests including the bandh.

Our call is to keep the industrial sector out of politics, said businessman of Chitwan Kul Prasad Sharma. The Chamber of Commerce and Industry has also been urged to seek a way out of the current situation. The repeated bandh is taking a huge toll on the industrial sector.

Chamber President said the first impact of strikes fall on the industry and business sector, while pointing out that the sector was already reeling under a crisis due to the recent earthquake.

Meanwhile, the Tharu Kalyankari Sabha Chitwan announced a strike in Chitwan today. As a result, industries and business as well as schools and market remain closed.
