DAMAULI: A pedestrian died after being hit by a jeep at Bhimad in Shukla Gandaki Municipality-10 of Tanahun district on Tuesday.

The deceased has been identified as Shankar Sah (42) of Jitpur-12, Bara district, informed the District Police Office, Tanahun.

The jeep (Ga 1 Cha 7030) en route to Khairenitar from Belchautara in the district hit Sah this morning.

Critically injured in the incident, Sah was rushed  to the Seti Ganga Community Hospital where he breathed his last during the course of treatment.

Police said that they are searching for the jeep driver who fled the scene after the incident.
