KHOTANG: A person, who was seriously injured in a fire at Rawabesi Rural Municipality of Khotang district, has succumbed to her injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Ratna Maya Sarki (50), a resident of Lamidanda in Rawabesi Rural Municipality-3.

Sarki, who had suffered burns on the neck and most parts below her waist, was admitted to Kirtipur Hospital in Kathmandu.

She had indicated to take her home after there had been no improvement in her condition despite the treatment.

She breathed her last on her way home on Sunday night, 11 days after being admitted to the hospital, according to Ek Raj Sarki, a relative.
