The hospital had started rendering this service through modern machine targeting patients from hilly districts of Province 7.

Physiotherapist Dr Sadikshya Mulepati at the hospital said 10 patients from Dadeldhura, Doti, Baitadi, Darchula and Bajhang, among other districts, visited the hospital for the service daily. “Patients suffering from vein, back pain, feet ache and other ailments are receiving treatment with the initiation of the service,” she informed.

As per Dr Mulepati, mostly married women from 30 to 40 years age group visit the hospital for treatment. “Work load and lack of rest are main reasons behind the problem,” she said, adding, women from rural areas were compelled to get up early to collect firewood and fodder, which ultimately led to back pain and vein problems.
