PM Dahal hopeful of consensus after SC order

KATHMANDU: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Wednesday has stated that the Supreme Court's recent order has inspired the political parties to forge consensus.

Speaking with officials of the Reporters' Club Nepal at his residence in Baluwatar, PM Dahal said that he would continue his efforts to come to an agreement with the opposition parties and bring an end to the stalemate seen in the Parliament, informed the PM's Secretariat.

PM Dahal said he "accepted the PM's position to save the country from possible polarisation."

"I am confident that my government will bring all the disputed parties together," PM added.

Dahal also expressed his commitment that the government would now focus on developmental works, which has been long overdue because of the political instability in the country.
