KATHMANDU: Bimarsh Nepal, a national network of young writers, is organising a national poetry competition among poets of age 19 to 30 on August 22, during the national book exhibition to be held in Kathmandu.

Sponsored by BookArt Nepal and Readmore Publications, the competition will consider poems received via email or post box number 25859, and only those poets who are short-listed by a penal of judges consisting of renowned poets will be called for recital.

According to Kiran Bhatta, the President of Bimarsha Nepal, poets bagging first, second, third and fourth places will be awarded cash prizes of Rs 20000, Rs 15000, Rs 10000 and Rs 5000 rupees, respectively.

This is the first time such a competition is being organized in the said age group, BookArt Nepal said.
