District Education Office, Tanahun, has posted a total of 45 primary level teachers, who passed the written and oral tests for permanent status conducted by the Teachers’ Service Commission last year, in the district.

“Those teachers, who got through the written and oral tests, were posted as per their convenience,” said DEO Section Officer Rameshwor Lamichhane.

Two teachers of Nepali, 10 of Mathematics, 12 of English, six of Social Studies, one each of Sanskrit language, Sanskrit grammar, Maths/Science and 12 of Science were given permanent appointment, said District Education Officer Rudra Hari Bhandari.

While giving permanent appointment to 45 teachers, 36 teachers who were serving under temporary status, were displaced.

“However, some of them have been appointed as relief quota teachers while some of them have been appointed as temporary teachers in the same level.
