Pressure cooker bomb diffused in Dhading
DHADING: A bomb disposal team of Nepal Army (NA) has diffused a Pressure-Cooker bomb in Dhunibesi Municipality of Dhading district this morning.
After a report of a suspicious bag found near the Tax Collection Post at Chalise along the Prithvi Highway, police in coordination with NA and Armed Police Force of Nepal (APF) cordoned the area.
During the search of the suspicious Zebra bag, the NA bomb unit found a pressure-cooker with wires attached and diffused it, informed Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rupak Khadka, Spokesperson at Dhading District Police Office (DPO).
The bomb might have been placed in the public to create panic among the locals, informed police.
Meanwhile, further investigation into the case is underway, DSP Khadka said.
