PM Oli reaches San José

Kathmandu, Sept 30

Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli reached San José, Costa Rica, last evening for an official visit at the invitation of Costa Rica President Carlos Alvarado Quesada.

Upon arrival at the Juan Santamaria International Airport, Oli was welcomed by Epsy Campbell Barr, the first vice-president and minister for foreign affairs and worship of Costa Rica; Arjun Kumar Karki, ambassador of Nepal to Costa Rica; Francisco Rojas Aravena, rector of University for Peace; Gina Guillen Grillo, chief of protocol at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Worship of Costa Rica; and Honorary Consul General Ana Victoria Badilla V, according to a statement issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

During his stay in Costa Rica, Oli will hold bilateral meeting with President Quesada and address a special programme to be organised by UPEACE.

PM Oli, who is currently on a week-long visit to New York for the 73rd session of the UN General Assembly, is accompanied by his spouse Radhika Shakya, the PM’s Chief Adviser Bishnu Rimal and Foreign Secretary Shanker D Bairagi, among others.
