KANCHANPUR: A fire broke out in a restaurant in Purnabas Municipality of Kanchanpur district gutting properties worth more than Rs 500,000 on Thursday.

The fire broke out at a seminar hall of New Samrat Restaurant turning chairs, inverters, television sets and other furniture into cinders, according to police.

The fire was doused with the help of fire engines, police and the local entrepreneurs.
