DHANGADI: Unified far-west Struggle Committee staged a demonstration saying that an agreement was reached among the four major parties to split the region, in Dhangadi, Kailali on Wednesday.

Coordinator of the struggle committee Gopal Deuba said any decision against the spirit of the locals would not be acceptable. The struggle committee had demonstrated for 32 days pitching for an intact far-west two years ago.

The committee has been seeking to keep all the nine districts in the same region. Deuba warned of agitation unless their demand was met.
