Protests will continue until govt addresses our demands, warns Yadav

BIRGUNJ: Federal Socialist Forum-Nepal (FSF-N) Chairman Upendra Yadav warned that the protests in Tarai will continue until the government addresses demands of the United Democratic Madhesi Front (UDMF).

FSF-N is the largest constituent of the UDMF and Yadav is currently leading the alliance.

Yadav, who reached the Miteri Bridge along the Birgunj-Raxual road section this morning to take part in a sit-in, said that the government was not serious over holding talks with the agitating Madhesi parties.

He was of the opinion that the government should create conducive environment for the talks to settle the ongoing chaos in Tarai peacefully.

Though the people have been facing hardship to carry out daily activities owing to the general strike for more than one-and-a-half months, Yadav accused the governemnt of being irresponsible to the people.

He said that the country could not get a way out from the exising crisis due to some opportunist and selfish elements in the government.

He claimed that the Tarai people would change the outlook of state through agitations.
