Province 4 security meet concludes

Pokhara, May 13

A one-day security meeting of Province 4 concluded in Pokhara today.

The security meeting organised by the Ministry of Home Affairs was inaugurated by Home Minister Ram Bahadur Thapa. The meeting saw participation of CDOs of 11 districts, and district chiefs of Nepal Police, APF and National Investigation Department, among others.

Chiefs of security agencies have agreed to implement the 82-point working plan brought by the home ministry to maintain law and order with the end of syndicate system in transport and tackle other security challenges. The meeting also dwelt on removing policy-level confusion after the country adopted the federal system of governance. CDOs and district security chiefs had shared their experiences. The meeting discussed ways to control anti-constitutional activities. Province 4 Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Hari Bahadur Chuman, Secretary Prem Kumar Rai, Nepal Police IG Sarbendra Khanal, among others were present.
