Provinces will chart their own course, says Sah

Rajbiraj, July 28

Province 2 Minister for Social Development Nawal Kishor Sah today said that provincial government would chart its own future course for the prosperity if the central government did not stop meddling in its affairs.

Speaking at a programme organised by Saptari chapter of Federation of Nepali Journalists in Rajbiraj, Minister Sah said his ministry could not carry out works of social development as expected since the federal government had failed to allocate adequate budget.

“If the central government does not lend its helping hands, the provincial government will form a separate Provincial and District Sports Development Committee,” Sah stated.

Minister Sah said provincial government was not formed with the mercy of some leaders but from votes cast by the people of the province.

“Now, the time has come for provincial government to decide to provide people with facilities and offer services,” he added.

Noting that farmers from Province 2 were having a hard time cultivating crops for want of chemical fertilisers, Sah accused the central government of showing negligence.
