PM Dahal reaches Bhojpur to inspect fire affected area

KATHMANDU/BHOJPUR: Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Tuesday inspected the fire affected area at Bhotepasal of Bhojpur Bazaar in Bhojpur district and directed the concerned authorities to distribute relief materials to the fire victims at the earliest.

PM Dahal also discussed ways to shift the victims to safer places.

On the occasion, he also thanked locals, Nepal Army and Nepal Police personnel for their help in reducing the loss induced by the inferno.

 

Property worth around Rs 200 million was reduced to cinders when a fire destroyed as many as nine houses on Sunday.

According to police, the fire broke out from local goldsmith Thir Kumar Portel's house due to cooking gas leakage and spread to other houses in the neighbourhood.

The fire was contained after two hours at around 7 pm with the help of locals, security personnel and fire brigade.
