‘Railway will become a reality soon’

Hetauda/Sindhuli, September 5

Nepal Communist Party (NCP) Co-chairperson Pushpa Kamal Dahal today expressed confidence that the country would see an environment of trust built within six months and that would further set the stage for prosperity in the future.

Speaking at a programme in Manahari Rural Municipality, Makawanpur, the NCP (NCP) leader dwelt on development activities happening in the country now and works towards realising the rail project. “A pipe dream just until a few years ago, railways is going to be a reality very soon. There will be railway links from both India and China, not to mention our own railway from east to west,” he said.

Dahal also claimed that road upgradation will pick up pace in Kathmandu after the end of the rainy season. “We’re aware that the people in Kathmandu are not happy seeing the condition of the roads. But we all know well that the government can’t solve each and every problem in just  six months,” he observed.

Earlier, speaking in Sindhuli today itself, Dahal had revealed preparations of the government to bring a special programme for infrastructure development and industrial employment. “People may feel that we’re quite silent but it’s because we were preparing to bring a special programme,” he explained.

He was in Sindhuli to inaugurate a bridge over Marin Khola in Marin Rural Municipality. “I’m very happy to inaugurate the bridge whose foundation stone I had laid one-and-a-half years ago,” he remarked.

He also laid the foundation stone of a martyr’s park in Kapilakot Rural Municipality today.
