'Rasuwagadhi most convenient route for Sino-Nepal trade'

DHUNCHE: A study team from the Development Committee of the Parliament to monitor the Nepal-China border point in Rasuwagadhi concluded that the road would be the most convenient route to increase the trade-related activities.

The team led by Rabindra Adhikari, Chairperson of the Committee, had examined the road section between Galchi to Rasuwagadhi.

After monitoring the road section, Adhikari further said that the road from Syaphrubesi to Mailung along the Betrawati River should be expanded to two lanes for long-term purpose.

"The road currently being used for the business activities is suitable and the most convenient way to continue the transaction. But, we will have to expand the road by 200-300 metre for the unhindered two-way mobility," said Adhikari.

The team had also discussed with the locals, representatives of different political parties, and businesspersons of Syaphrubesi and Timure of the district.

The team also included Lawmakers Janardan Dahal, Ram Chandra Pokharel, Karna BK, Ram Kumar Bhattarai, Anita Devkota and Sita Giri Oli.
