LIWANG, ROLPA: Police in Rolpa district have arrested a man on charge of killing his nephew and niece.

The arrested has been identified as 21-year-old Kharka Bahadur BK of Dafla area in Triveni Rural Municipality-2 in the district.

He allegedly hacked his five-year-old nephew Prem BK and three-year-old niece Basanti BK with an axe when they were playing near their house on Monday evening.

BK, who had been absconding after committing the crime, was arrested from Nuwagaon, according to police. An investigation has been started in this connection.

Meanwhile, a woman was arrested with eight kilogrammes of hashish in Madi Rural Municipality. 38-year-old Ram Pyari Jhankri of Thawang Rural Municipality-5 in Rolpa district was caught by police during the security check carried out on a passenger bus bound to Dang from Thawang.
