The problems faced by the public are just the same even though Saptari District Administration Office has suspended the registration and renewal of unions related to the transport sector.

Ram Narayan Yadav, a local of Rajbiraj Municipality said the government decision to scrap all syndicates in the transport sector has yet to be implemented. He added the people did not feel as if the syndicate system in the transportation sector had been scrapped.

Assistant Chief District Officer Nar Bahadur Khadka said registration and renewal of unions of transport sector were halted as per home ministry’s directive. He added that the home ministry had also frozen the assets and accounts of transport unions and organisations.
