RAJBIRAJ: An unidentified woman was found dead with bruises on her body at Boriya VDC of Saptari on Saturday.

The woman, assumed to be of around 20 years of age, was found in a canal at Boriya, informed the Saptari District Police Office.

The police suspect that the woman was pelted with stones on both sides of her face. She also has blue marks on her body.

Police have sent her body has been sent to the BP Institute of Health Sciences in Dharan for an autopsy.

Superintendent of Police (SP) Bhim Prasad Dhakal said the police are carrying out a comprehensive investigation into the incident.
