KATHMANDU: A man has been arrested for killing his own father, striking with a sharp weapon, in a village in Sindhupalchok district.

The arrested has been identified as Jeevan Tamang (30) of Ramche, residing in Mankha VDC-1 of the district. Tamang had charged a khukuri on his father Mangale (55) on Friday.

The injured Tamang breathed his last on the way to a temporary health camp in Lamosanghu of Sindhupalchok.

Police are investigating into the case.
