Staff crunch hits land revenue office

Rajbiraj, November 26

Service seekers could not get their work done due to insufficient staffers at Rajbiraj-based land revenue office in Saptari.

Service seekers have been facing a hard time owing to absence of office chief for the past one month. Out of 42 quotas, 13 staffers, including office helpers, are working in the office.

Daily activities have been affected the most and almost all departments are closed due to lack of staff. The situation is, a single staff has to look after two to three departments due to lack of manpower.

A non-gazetted second class officer Shambhu Raj Adhikari said office work had been adversely affected due to lack of chief and supporting staffers in the office. “The quota for staffers has yet to be fulfilled even though the information has been sent to the departments concerned and the ministry,” he added.
